Backed by more than 40 years of design and manufacturing experience, MRI’s Packaged Water Treatment Systems combine into a single tank the reliable, all stainless steel, space-saving components proven through years of use in large municipal treatment systems.
Systems are custom built to meet specific site requirements and provide high quality effluent for a range of flows. Pre-assembled design makes installation quick and easy, significantly reducing the time and cost typically required for plant construction. Whether site specifications require a four or single-stage system, MRI Packaged Water Treatment Systems provide one-stop-shop convenience.
MRI systems are ideal for use anywhere construction space and costs are constrained, including:
- Rural settings
- Low-volume treatment plants
- Campgrounds
- Man camps

Key Features Only from MRI Packaged Water Treatment Systems
Stainless Steel Tanks
Made of T-304 stainless steel, tanks are also available in T-316 or aluminum with complete structural calculations.
Four-Stage Flocculation
MRI’s four-stage flocculation consists of three variable-speed Horizontal Paddle Wheel Flocculators operated by a single drive unit. A final hydraulic stage maximizes settling. Options for three, two and single-stage flocculation are available.
The standard flocculator has a 20-minute detention time and is custom designed to provide a mixing G-value appropriate for your application.
MRI Inlet Diffuser
Incorporated into MRI baffles, the MRI Inlet Diffuser controls the flow from the flocculator to the settling area to ensure even distribution and eliminate floc shear.
MRI Inclined Plate Settlers
MRI Inclined Plate Settlers provide the highest effluent quality available from any plate settler. A completely accessible and robust top deck and individually removable plates make the plate settlers easy to maintain and durable.
MRI Hoseless Cable-Vac™ Sludge Collector
Equipped with an above-water Reel-to-Reel Drive that ensures reliable power without tensioning, the MRI Hoseless Cable-Vac Sludge Collector is designed to operate under plate settlers and other low profile areas.
Preferred by engineers, the patented system offers virtually maintenance-free operation and quick, simple installation, This is due to elimination of flexible hoses that can interfere with plate settler operation, freedom from guide rails, and the use of all stainless steel long-life wheels and bearings and a simple cable winch drive.
Ladder & Railed Walkway
Ladder and railed walkways allows operator easy access over the tank to maintain drive mechanisms.
MRI Control Systems
Pre-wired to package system drives, MRI utilizes state-of-the-art Rockwell Automation components with PLC-based programming available for Ethernet integration to plant-wide SCADA systems.
Optional Sludge Thickener
The sludge thickener is an optional attachment for the Hoseless Cable-Vac Sludge Collector. Consisting of an array of “pickets,” the sludge thickener can be run continuously and produce settled solids up to 2%.
Optional or Stand-Alone Pressurized Filtration Membrane Module
Available as a separate module, Meurer membrane filtration is ideal for water treatment, either pre- or post-treatment or stand-alone. Benefits include energy-efficient operation, significantly higher effluent quality, and increased capacity - all in a smaller footprint than conventional systems. Meurer membrane filtration modules offer superior permeability and tensile strength with a .1 micron pore for pressurized microfiltration.
