The Geneva Screen by Meurer Research, Inc. is a combination of the best features of a Step, Traveling and Bar Screen, all in one.
|
This screen, with its escalator type arrangement, is placed in the inlet channel. The unique Geneva Drive allows the screen elements, which are perforated scoops, to stop and be mechanically cleaned by an automated chain and wiper. This simple design requires the use of only one motor.
As each element travels vertically, debris is captured and carried until it reaches the top of the screen where it is stopped for cleaning. While at rest, a chain driven wiper completely scrapes and plows the debris off of the curved surface.
